MAGPIE was present at the Connecting Europe Days !

From 28-30 June, representatives of the MAGPIE were attending the Connecting Europe Days (CED) in Lyon. During these days, the MAGPIE and PIONEERS (sister green port project led by the Port of Antwerp-Bruges) had a joint stand at the market place. Interested visitors were welcome to start a discussion on the ingredients to becoming a smart green port, to learn about the various demo projects we are carrying out or just to have a chat. The CED were very useful to help further build our stakeholder network.

During the conference, EU funded projects had the opportunity to pitch their projects. As coordinator of the MAGPIE project, Arne-Jan Polman explained to the audience the background of the MAGPIE project, the origin of the consortium and the main goals of the project. Since it was a combined pitch with PIONEERS, subsidy manager of Port of Antwerp-Bruges Hanna van Kraaij did the second part of the pitch. She stressed the importance of the fellow ports in the projects and how we want to reproduce the project results to other port communities. Also, an invitation was done to all attendees to join the stakeholder community.
