Do you want to be a stakeholder of the project?

No less than 41 organizations have already signed up to join our close group of observers, which is called “MAGPIE stakeholders group”. They show a specific interest in the progress of our demonstrations and volunteered to exchange experiences with the consortium partners. These entities are quite diverse, ranging from public administration bodies to R&D startups. Active European countries are: Belgium, Netherlands, France, Denmark, Norway, Germany, Portugal, Spain. Other participants from overseas are well represented, such as the United States, Canada, South Africa or Australia. Through this group, the MAGPIE project contributes to the global influence of the European Green Deal.

Last meeting was held on the 6th July, moderated by project partner Gunnar Platz, from Planco consulting. Mr Platz is the work package leader for land transport modalities, within MAGPIE. He has invited some members to report the progress of their experimentations. On behalf of DAF Trucks, Guus Arts has explained how their model of “yard automation truck” will be tested in real environment, on a pier in the Port of Rotterdam. This presentation by a member was followed by another one, by a newly arrived stakeholder: Wabtec corporation. Guido Gommer, who represented this industry-leading firm, has introduced some of their solutions in the field of electric locomotives and heavy-weights.

Feel free to contact us in order to attend the next Stakeholder meeting, on the 12th October. Khalid Tachi, European Innovation Centre for Barging (EICB) will be the moderator of this online meeting.
