Ports, energy, and trade meet in “Green Ports: Net-Zero Mission,” an exhibition based in France, at the Le Havre Port Center. Born from our project, the exhibition turns years of research into games, simulations, and hands-on discoveries around the energy transition of European ports. There, visitors discover the ships, trucks, and energy carriers of the future as the MAGPIE partners develop new ways to lower emissions and rethink multimodal logistics. From Rotterdam to Le Havre, the exhibition opens the port world to citizens, students, and professionnals.
March 10th marked the official opening of the exhibition in presence of:
▪ Jean-Baptiste GASTINNE, President, Le Havre Port Center
▪ Cédric Virciglio, Strategic Planning and Forecasting Director, HAROPA PORT
▪ Oscar van Veen, Director of innovation, Port of Rotterdam
▪ Bruno DELSALLE, General Manager, AIVP
The exhibition presents four of the demonstrators developed within the MAGPIE consortium: the ammonia bunkering, the shore power peak shaving, the green connected trucking, and the hybrid shunting locomotive. The French exhibition precedes a second exhibit, whose opening will take place on April 13, at Portlantis in Rotterdam (the Netherlands).
